Ground Improvement efforts involving geosynthetics have yielded soil strength improvements, mitigation of total and differential settlements, shorter construction times, reduced construction costs, reduced maintenance costs and have made possible the use of previously deemed 'unsuitable' sites.

Checkmate's RigidGrid BX has been used in Ministry of Transportation highway construction in Northern BC as well as for resource sector access roads throughout Northern Canada.

The combination of RigidGrid BX with Checkmate GeoTextiles enables the construction of roadways over soils that were previously considered too poor to build on. Checkmate has supplied BX for base reinforcement under building foundations over poor soils conditions and in riparian area's around streams to allow land to be vegetated and allow vehicular traffic to pass over when required.

RigidGrid BX is ideal for construction site access when soil conditions are water saturated and do not allow heavy dump truck access. Just roll out RigidGrid with or without geoTextiles for immediate access to areas.
